Grand Opening for Rockyo's Pizza!Hank Ruocchio, owner of Rockyo's Pizzeria, was joined by Kathy Burbank, Tom Neilon, Jim Schultz, and others from the GCC for the Grand Opening of his new restaurant at 2568 Western Avenue. Our crew brought the "Big Scissors" and helped cut the ribbon on June 28.
The Chamber's 35th Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony was held on June 5 at the Italian American Community Center. The event was very well attended with near-record attendance. Guests were treated to a fantastic evening. The highlights included awards presented to members and organizations in Guilderland who have made a difference in our community.

Spa Li Ve held their Grand Opening on Saturday May 31. Their new location is at 1800 Western Avenue in Cosimo Plaza. Kathy Burbank, GCC's Executive Director, and Cyndy Myers, Membership Coordinator, attended along with Roger Lipera, Board Chair, and members of the Chamber. Mark Grimm, Town Board member, represented the Town.

The May meeting of the GCC's Women in Business Group was held at at the Foundation of NYS Nurses. The guest speak was Jim Conroy from NYBDC and his topic was “Growing your Business- Creative Financing." The event was well attended and participants came away highly informed and energized.
