11 - 2014 Fashion Night Out sponsored by Family Friends Future, INC and Style Abby. VIP Cocktail Party at 6pm, Main Event 7-10pm Fashion takes on Albany in support of Alzheimer's awareness at the 2nd annual Fashion Night Out. Guests will walk the purple carpet, and the area's best local models will hit the runway to show off the latest trends and the season's must have looks. 13- 3rd Annual Guilderland Community Fest to Benefit a Local Family, Presented by Christ's Church Guilderland, in cooperation with friends and neighbors of the Rodino Family, Guilderland Parks and Recreation, and the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place from 12:00pm - 4:00pm at Tawasentha Park, Guilderland. Join us for an afternoon of music, food and fun for the whole family. There will be kids' activities such as pony rides, a bounce house, pumpkin painting and an obstacle course. Local vendors and businesses will also have tables set up to share information about their organization or to offer their goods for sale. All proceeds will go directly to the Rodino family, who has been struggling with providing around-the-clock care for three family members all battling Huntington's disease. 21 - 11 AM. We are delighted to announce our 2nd annual Canine Classic run, raising money for Guilderhaven, (a local rescue/adoption organization.) We are reaching out again to local businesses and individuals to consider donating a gift certificate, merchandise, refreshments, or a service to be offered for our fund-raising raffle and gift baskets. In addition, if you would like to set up a vendor booth to display and sell your wares, we welcome you to do so.This year, our event is timed to coincide with the Voorheesville Public Library's Annual Book Sale right across the street. The Guilderland Chamber of Commerce, along with the Bethlehem, Colonie, Southern Saratoga County Chambers, CAYP (Capital Alliance of Young Professionals), and the Capital Region Rotary Club, are hosting a multi-chamber networking event. 26 - Neighbors Helping Neighbors Day- Community Caregivers Sponsored by M&T Bank. Neighbors helping neighbors day will be a day of service at multiple locations and homes throughout Guilderland, Altamont, and Bethlehem. Community Caregivers will coordinate sites and projects with multiple groups and individual volunteers free to participate. The day will culminate with a reception at Crossgates Mall. CPAs, NY, P.C., The Times Union. This community wide event features a Soup Contest featuring the area’s finest restaurants! Categories that the public will vote on include Best Soup, Best Chilli, Best Stew, Best Vegetarian, and Most Unique. In addition to the soup contest, the event also features an antique car show. The region’s most fantastic cars, trucks, hot rods, customs, motorcycles, and classics will be on display and visitors will vote for the best set of wheels. Vendors from local businesses will also be on hand showcasing their items and services! This event runs from 10am to 2pm with the Soup portion opening at 11am. $5 for admission to the soup and vendors and car show attendance is free!
