18 - Tri-City Rentals Celebrates Earth Day with their 5th Annual Electronic Waste Collection Event. 10am-2pm. For locations visit www.tcrgreenliving.com. This event provides residents and the entire Capital Region the opportunity to recycle electronic waste free of charge and close to home. Residents and the public can rest easy knowing that any personal data on hard drives or similar data storage devices will be safely destroyed and that community landfills will be saved from the release of non-biodegradable and potentially hazardous materials. 23 - The Wounded Warrior Project has chosen Albany, N.Y. as the starting point of the sixth annual "Memorial Day 100". At approximately 7:00 am on Saturday, May 23rd , thirty United States Marine Veterans will begin the 115 mile relay marathon at the World War II Memorial located next to the New York State Museum on Madison Ave. The event will kick off on Friday evening May 22nd with a dinner honoring the thirty Marines/runners at Graney's STOUT Irish Pub & Restaurant located on Broadway in Albany. This will be a fundraising event with a Chinese auction, fifty-fifty raffle as well as monetary donations to benefit Wounded Warrior Project.
