5- Saturday March 6, and Sunday March 7-Farnsworth Middle School presents "Beauty and the Beast." 8pm Friday and Saturday and 2pm Sunday at Farnsworth Middle School. Tickets are $8.
7 -Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center, 340 Whitehall Road 8:30-1:30pm Fitness classes including Spining, Zumba, Family Zumba, Jazzercise, Boot Camp/Chisel and Turbo Kick will be simultaneously scheduled every half hour throughout the Center. Donations of $10 per person per class will be collected to aid Haitian earthquake victims. Refreshments will be available for purchase. 10 - Western Turnpike Rescue Squad presents Pet First Aid Training, presented by Dr. Joy Lucas Upstate Animal Medical Center. 6:30pm-9:00pm at Western Turnpike Rescue Squad, Station #1, located at 200 Centre Drive, Albany. 12- Altamont Elementary 5th Graders Present America 2010 Celebrate America 2010 6-8:30pm at Altamont Elementary School. Food, games and fun! This is a fundraiser to help pay for this year’s 5th Grade End of the Year Trip. All money is raised by the 5th grades and their families. Please help recognize all their hard work at Altamont Elementary School. Thanks in advance for your support!
13 - The Albany Golf Tour "State of the Tour Coffee Chat" at Professor Java's. 9AM-12PM. All local golfers invited to attend. 15- Manute Bol presentation on building schools in Sudan. 7:30pm at Saint Joseph Hall on College of Saint Rose Campus, 985 Madison Ave., Albany. Come hear former basketball legend Manute Boi speak about how he is now building 41 schools for children in the war-torn villages of Southern Sudan, and what you can do to help. 20 – Babypalooza at Guilderland Public Library. 11am-2pm. If you are a new parent, get answers to many of your baby questions. Meet with local organizations and service agencies and join Youth Services Librarian Josalyn Gervasio Wilder in a special “Baby Bounce Storytime.” Thanks to grant Ms. Wilder received, the library will distribute 200 “Books for Babies” kits to new parents as well. 28 - Guilderland YMCA Indoor Triathlon. The indoor triathlon is very similar to an outdoor triathlon except all of the events are completed indoors and athletes go as far as they can in a given period of time.
