The Chamber maintains a membership of approximately 600 businesses, and strives to help our members succeed and grow. The Chamber also promotes community life in the Guilderland, Altamont, Voorheesville area and partners with schools, the towns, and other organizations on projects that make Guilderland a great place to work live, and play.

Small Business Group April Meeting
The Small Business Group met on May 2 featured the important topic, "Beyond Start Up." Featured guest speakers were Lisa Giruzzi, owner of Transformational Conversations and Melody Burns, Idea Practitioner. They answered numerous questions from the audience and provided many insights for moving forward in business.
Avila once again was the group's host location. Members were reminded that SBG wrangler, Tom Denham, is looking for a co-chairperson. Photographer Joan Heffler snapped pics of the event.
After Hours Networking Event
NBT Bank at 5 New Karner Road (near Western Avenue) hosted a Business After Hours Networking Event on April 23. Panera Bread at Crossgates Commons provided refreshments. The evening was very well attended.
This was another in the monthly GCC series of After Hours Networking Events organized by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce. If you are interested in hosting an event, contact us at 456-6611.

Women in Business Meeting
The March 27 Women In Business Breakfast meeting at the Foundation of New York State Nurses featured Susan Radzyminski, VP and Manager for Marketing at Key Bank. She spoke about the future of women in business. The breakfast was very well attended.
